A warm sunny day with thousands of smiling faces. The HKU 100 Kick-Off Ceremony was held on January 9 at the Stanley Ho Sports Centre. Over 4,000 students, staff and alumni, together with their families, residents from the neighbourhood and community centres joined the ceremony, parade and carnival.

The parade, consisting of representatives from the faculties, alumni, student societies and other offices, demonstrated the diversity of the HKU Family.

The models of Centennial Campus and Lung Wah Street Student Residences were also on display and caught the attention of many visitors, who were interested in learning more about the details of both projects, including their locations, distance to Main Campus, construction cost, facilities, and the construction schedule.
