Walking with the Community
About 100 students took part in a Mass Parade at the Central and Western District Festival on January 16. Students from the Architectural Society led the parade team with a 3m x 1.5m hand-made Main Building Model, followed by representatives from the ten faculties and the Dancing Society. Student members of the Friends of Centennial Campus appeared at the back, with banners and flags showing the planning concepts and images of the new campus.
Held every three years, the Central and Western District Festival sees a wide range of local organizations and district personalities taking part. It is a great opportunity for local groups and residents to get to know each other better and build a stronger sense of community.
Earlier on November 14, 2010, Friends of Centennial Campus supported the Heritage Preservation Orienteering Activity, another District Festival event. About 300 people participated in the game, and left with a better knowledge about the heritage buildings
